Need help with Chortle? We're here for you.
From the home tab, pick today's fill-in-the-blank story and tap Start. Fill in the words to complete the story, then tap Share and pick a friend or share via your contacts.
When a friend sends you a chortle, open it from your activity feed and tap Record & Read. The first time you record, iOS will ask for camera and microphone access — tap Allow. The story will scroll on-screen while you read it for the camera, then you can send the video back.
If you accidentally tapped "Don't Allow," go to Settings > Chortle on your iPhone or iPad and enable Camera and Microphone access.
Video uploads need a stable internet connection. If you're on a weak Wi-Fi or cellular signal, try moving to a stronger one and tapping Try again.
If the issue keeps happening, email us at support@letschortle.com with your device model and iOS version and we'll dig in.
Tap the Friends tab to search for friends by name or username and send them a friend request. When someone requests to be your friend, you'll see it in the same tab and can accept or decline.
Open the app, tap the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, friends, chortles, and videos. The action cannot be undone.
If you can't access the app for any reason, email support@letschortle.com from the address tied to your account and we'll handle the deletion for you.
For bugs, email support@letschortle.com with a short description of what happened and (if possible) your device model and iOS version.
To report inappropriate content or a user, tap the ⋯ menu on any chortle, video, or profile and choose Report. We review all reports within 24 hours.
In the app, tap the Profile tab to manage daily reminder notifications. To turn off all Chortle notifications system-wide, go to Settings > Notifications > Chortle on your iPhone or iPad.
